KOpel  [SOLVED] GLOBALTIS / MDI
Hi all.

I'm looking for some information on how to get globaltis properly set up and updated to work with the mdi.
I have downloaded the latest mdi manager and vci connects to the pc fine.

I have watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11edFw8lvLo but am unsure on where to get the extra files needed. I think i also need an enumerator for the tech2?
I have also downloaded Fantomels 2018 update, but unsure where this has installed to  fail

Of all the programs i've installed i really seem to be struggling with this one.

Can somebody please point me in the direction of a decent how to guide.

Thank You!

RE: GLOBALTIS / MDI
GDS2 newer version (as the 2018 one from Fantomel's collection or any newer then the one you install by Gtis ) will not be lease by the Global Tis.
You need activation and lease.
How to is not public free stuff.but you can activate it officially
Good luck

RE: GLOBALTIS / MDI
Thanks for the reply. Still confused. I added a bin file to tech 2 and it still only shows 2002 and below cars. As for gds2, tried installing the update from the stock selection in globaltis and i still get no packages found.
Surely this cant be all that difficult to set up

RE: GLOBALTIS / MDI
GlibalTis install only opel packages. The rest you have to add item manually.
Let me what version of tech2win and gds2 do you have installed.
Do you have it installed over windows 7 professional or ultimate?
Did you installed java v6.26 or v7.17?
What bin files and what gds2 pacakges do you wanna add/update
Give us more detalils please
Good luck

RE: GLOBALTIS / MDI
Thanks for helping Matty. Im using XP in a vm with w7 as i have no more spare laptops as all in use with other vci's. I did try and install on w7 but i had a problem with the java applet. Running the java that is inside the ROOT folder of globaltis. I believe it is 6.12. .
Latest version of mdi manager. Vci is up to date.
Tech2win is v 2.256. The opel .bin file is v1.66.
Gds2 is v9.1.01001 opel/vauxhall v2011.11.0. If i update the packages they never show in the package manager.

I did a quick test with the vci with tech2win just by powering up the vci and by using the SWDL on globaltis was able to get secutity level 3 so it is communicating.

I should have just bought the HDD from chinaland but who knows what rubbish they will put with it

Thanks for the PM Matty, much appreciated! I have just found a 2018 vmware image so in the process of downloading that now and see how i get on. I hate asking for help unless i really need to.
Will let you know how it goes.
Cheers,
Chris.

RE: GLOBALTIS / MDI
Ok
In GDS2 version you have you can only use the packages installed by GlobalTis
No newer one.
Tech2win you can use the latest one with the last bin files and there is cracked versions or you can release it by GlobalTis.
But GDS2 newer version you don't
Its better to use win 7 professionals or ultimate 32bit ( or 64bit - I didn't test it myself ) if you planning to use newer versions of GDS2
If you wanna use it in native windows no vmware which I don't advise you is better to buy a HDD and install the windows by yourself and don't buy it already installd because tge activation of GDS2 depends by motherboard serial number as well as hwid of your hdd. So any of this is changed you will haven't it activated.
Good luck
