I could use some help on the following; I cannot connect ISTA/P 3.65.1.002 to my E91 via ICOM A2. I have spend quite some hours already, though without success.

1. I have successfully worked with ISTA+ (ISTA/D 4.13.14); it connects fine without problem via the ICOM A2.
2. I have connected direct from ICOM A2 to laptop via ethernet cable
3. The ICOM A2 has 169.254.94.38 (found via ItoolRadar)
4. I have given my laptop address 169.254.94.1 (sub 255.255.0.0)
5. Not sure if I should use Itoolradar or not (at least I am able to reserve 169.254.94.38).
6. The ICOM has firmware version 1.41 and is a clone.
7. I am using ISTA/P loader 6.3 (without emulator)
8. I can ping the ICOM successfully via CMD.
9. ISTA/P does not give a green/red battery indication. Terminal 15 and 30 are empty.
10. Using WIN7 32Bit, defender and firewall disabled.

So, why is INPA and ISTA/D working and ISTA/P not? Anybody some suggestions where to find the answer?

Do you have VM-Ware on your PC?

Then please deactivate the virtual networks and all is fine…

I do not use VM ware on the PC. How can I detect if there are VM networks active?

I think this is correct. never heard of firmware 1.4!! Must be very very old. Update clones is a gamble. Some do update, others just corrupt.

6. The ICOM has firmware version 1.41 "that's good!"

Try to set network adapter from pc to automatic IP.

And do not reserve Icom with Itoolradar for Ista-p.

Disable wifi connection.

I had this problem.  I did 3 things

1. Flash latest firmware via http://169.254.92.38:60080  FLASH BOTH boot and application files
firmware now 3.15.02  application 1.41

2. I set a fixed address 169.254.92.38

3. via web interface http://169.254.92.38:58000 set Mode = ISPI-Next

I can now use any loader - 6.1 to 6.4

I can switch in and out of Ista/D and IstaP  and the iTool radar shows the icom being reserved and free automatically - no need to do anything.  Just remember to close session properly in ISTA/d or ISTA/P to have it unlock itself

Hey, I have a problem with ICOM connection. I recently bought a new original ICOM from BMW dealer.

First connection and iTool Radar detected ICOM, connected to BMW E60 via ISTA / D, I read errors, deleted and disconnected. Then I worked on this computer by VMware from NCS Expert.

Today, unfortunately, I can not connect via ICOM. The LAN light is on, the network is identified and iToolRadar does not show anything. What can I do to fix it?
