Hello. 

One of my w220s is in limp mode due to not getting a signal for the transmission range sensor. I have already done the conductor plate and pilot bushing but I do believe it is a bad sensor module in the shifter causing the issue. 

I was wondering if anyone knew the board schematic and function of each chip and if transplanting the chip holding the eis data onto a functional shifter module from the scrapyard could be a more cost effective substitute than buying a new shifter and having it coded each time I run into this issue.

I am ordering a star multiplexer and willing to buy an ak500 or xprog as well as I would like a few more keys. Was just hoping for some guidance as to what to buy and if my ideas will even work.
