Need help for Mercedes W220 S320 L6
Dear Car magic peoples
I have a MB W220 S320CDI L6 (204 Hp) car. I had problem with starts. First I changed lot of parts on fuel system(pipes, pump, scrap oil pipes with connectors, filter), and refurbished all of Injectors, high pressure pump. Changed pressure regulator valve, fuel quantity valve, and for trial the pressure sensor. Finally the start problem solve with camshaft position sensor. Now the car starting fine, like a petrol car. But now when start the motor, slowly start to make missfire like a normal petrol car, but my is gasoil car. When the car is hot immediatelly go out to EPC error. My friend connect the car to original MB tester C3 or C4, but the tester couldn't find any alarm message. I try to change crankshaft sensor, but nothing happen. Somebody have any idea? Please tell me a clever idea. Thanks a lot |

Make sure you are not sucking air through the fuel lines. Might me a tiny leak somewhere causing the misfire. I would start there, then take a look at the turbo, turbo controls, mass air flow live readings, and just for fun make sure the thermostat isn't stuck closed.

RE: Need help for Mercedes W220 S320 L6
Dear PeteMac1983
Thanks for your idea. Wasn't air in the fuel system, I checked some months ago. Finally I move the car to one car electric guy, and he could find the problem with high pressure rail sensor. The rail sensor didn't read anything under 400bar. I changed it today, and disapear the problem after lot of months. I am very happy. Thanks |
