Hi guys,
I hope someone can help me with my problem.
I have an E60 525d from 2005 with key fob (no stick).
The DDE was broken, so I decided to buy a 2nd hand DDE, CAS2 ignition lock, key, … .
My car : E60 – 525d – VIN: WBANC51020CR28***
Donor car : E61 – 530d – VIN : WBANJ71092B462696
I installed everything (without programming), and the car started. Of course with errors. The main problem being DSC, steering angle sensor,… .
Off course the VIN’s of DDE and CAS are different then the rest of the car.
Today I programmed DDE and CAS with WINKFP and changed the VIN’s to match the car. Programming succeeded, so I thought everything would be ok, until I did a diagnosis with ISTA-D.
The car was immediately identified as the car from which the DDE and CAS came from, so appearently something was still wrong.
My next try was to use NCS expert to see which VIN was shown in the CAS when I read it, but again I saw the VIN from the donor car.    

Next attempt : Use  Tools32 to read and/or write AIF in CAS.
So I executed AIF_lesen, and there was the VIN I programmed earlier : CR28***, along with the programming date of today. 
    So appearently the programming from earlier had succeeded but was not enough to make ISTA-D or NCS expert recognize the programmed VIN.

I started sniffing around in other jobs, to see if could find the wrong VIN. I stumbled upon a job named c_fg_lesen. When I executed it I saw B462696, being the VIN that was still spoking, and needed to be changed. 
     I also found c_fg_schreiben with one parameter FG. But I could not get that job to perform right and correct the FG.
 
Can someone please help me out ?

PS : I have no experience with programming dumps

Hi Bjorn,
VIN in CAS is protected.
You can't change it by factory tool.
Read CAS2 MCU (9S12DG256 1K79X) and post here eeprom dump.
I will correct vin for you.

Dear Paskuale,

thanks for the info. 
My problem is that i don't have the tools to read the eeprom dump, nor do i know anyone in my neighbourhood to do so.
I also have the original CAS which should function perfectly.
Is it possible to change the type of car of the donor CAS (from E61) to E60 also?
I had an error in NCS expert which didn't allow me to change the VO, and i think it is because the donor CAS was from an E61 :

@ Paskuale : are you European, so i could send the CAS to you (with payment of course)

or is there anyone in Belgium that's possible to do that without costing me too much?

We can adapt new ecu to old CAS (original CAS) if you have any BDM tool.
Have you some practice with ecu reading in BDM ?
