PSA - Unlock keys/transponder - NXP f53a1513
Guys, i have 2 citroen keys (original OEM 96742552ZD) which i would like to reprogram to a Citroen C4 picasso 2014. But, these keys are not yet renewed (unblocked for reprogramming). Inside there is an NXP chip of the type f53a1513.
Can this be done? till now i just come accross the renewing FW for the PCF79xx family, but not this nxp f53a1513. Below a similar picture of how the both keys look like (not chinese, but real factory OEM). |

I feel like you have two difficulties to come across...
- You need to know modulation mode whether ASK or FSK of the used key and the need by C4, if they were not originally for that car model. - I don't know your virginiser tool but had some test on Orange5, every cases all user data area was also wiped off after virgin, that's the problem ! |

But i have a main difficulity that these keys are not PCF based... No key tool (eg orange5) is able to do an anything which these keys, right? |

If you still have some effort let's try ! First of all, with some couple questions...
- Do you know the PIN code of the car that these two used remote was belong to ? - Are you full or partial key man, I mean you have some tool like EFfi (Zed bull) Take one new PCF7936 then code in your C4 and see if is possible and the car start , if yes it's PCF based - Take good PCB photos of the used remotes and the C4 remote and post |
