Hi everybody,

So I have a Class A w169 and I would like to replace the Km with FVDI however when I replace the KM the meter stays and turns on with the KM not change
I think the KM is storing somebody else has the procedure to do to replace the KM by OBD

Not lose key coding or so

No EZS can't be done thru obd ,, need a JTAG to read MCU to reset EZS

ONLY dash can it be done by FVDI after EZS reseted

or use fvdi to change dash by obd to 999.999km
then put on contact a few times.
then change to lower value.
now dash will keep new value

(but ezs will keep 1million..)

ok thank you very much for your answers, I thought I saw the option reset in the EZS with FVDI if I'm not wrong.
pietje001 you are sure that using your method I could later modify the counter because there is also the risk that it remains 999999.
It is possible to extract the content of the eeprom of EZS with FVDI and just change the km?

999999 trick works.
Sometimes will stay at 99999 in dash. But if so upload dashfile, I can repair.
Then mileage ok. Work 100%

In W245 (same KI and EZS as in W169) with Xprog 5.51 I read/write EZS (after this with DAS Passthru i read 1,67 mln km in EZS) and with Digiprog 4.94 by connector on back side of KI. All work fine.

For professional work you need advanced tool like AVDI genuine.
-Read EZS (fbs data) from OBDII , read password SAVE
- Make virgin EZS
- Make virgin ESL
- Correct odometer on dashboard
-Personalizate and activate EZS (EZS will take km value from dashboard)
-Adapt ESL
- Correct assyst and assyst plus
JOB DONE.
