Kess V2 Truck Protocol 175 experience with universal cabel
Hello there,
has somebody maybe experience in reading/writing 24V trucks? I use a Kess V2 china clone, reworked from a member here on CT. It is working well via obd on 12V cars. Now i want to tune some MAN trucks, Ksuite 2.47 says i need to use Protocol 175. It says i need an other OBD cabel for these models: 144300K208. I dont have it. But It says also i can use the universal cabel (144300K201) which cames with Kess. Has somebody tested it ? Should it work with the universal cabel? |

You need to read the help subject! You have to buy KESS V2 DAF MAN SCANIA OBDII TRUCK CABLE. Then you can read the EDC/PTM for the MAN. Cable is somewhere around GBP105. people say you could buy Autocom truck cables and use with universal cable! Only MR_PLD Temic that does not work

RE: Kess V2 Truck Protocol 175 experience with universal cabel
Thank you for your answer, but this is exactly this what I wrote before. I read the help subject, and it says: use 144300K208 (MAN OBD2 cable) OR use 144300K201 (universal cable). So why should ksuite lying me? I know all the PINs on MAN OBD2 connector, so why should it be a problem to connect the universal cable directly to the MAN OBD2 port?

Nope! I once tried reading it with the universal cable and it does nothing on MAN! So you need a man cable

Yes, It's safer than connecting wires because you know pinouts and end up frying EDC

(28-11-2018, 00:00 AM)Torquemasta Wrote: Yes, It's safer than connecting wires because you know pinouts and end up frying EDC Why should frying up edc if i have pinouts of OBD connector. I have original circuit diagram of the vehicle. And ksuite says i can use this cable, so why it will not work? You wrote you tested it and it doesn’t work, what exactly doesn’t work, you got errors while reading or what? |
