Get KTAG to clone the 330d ECU. If it is compatible, it will work. If it is not, you may loose the ECU, aka brick it.

The different HW types all look the same for the same family. an FRM2 and FRM3 look exactly the same from outside. Never tried writing FRM2 to an FRM3. Tried what you are saying with a CAS. I lost the CAS

Ecu from the 330 is already cloned and put into the 335 ecu. The ecu is operation and so is the car. But the limited function on the ecu prevent us van doing a 'good' remap and reaching the full potential in the project car, hense why we need the 335 software.

Yh i've lost the ecu several times, thank god we can reflash a clone from that 330d ecu and get it up and running again.

I'll try some more. Hopefully i get it figured out.
