EVO ID5 - Unable to load Navigation Maps
Hello, I have a unit that gave me some troubles, finally managed to get it back to work, thanks to BugFix member.
Now I am unable to load the navigation maps, I am getting the following error after inserting USB stick. Data on USB device unusable. Please replace USB device and try again My USB stick and map data are ok, I even tried with another stick, and different car all went well, but here, same issue. Another member deleted all my map data 2-3 weeks ago and that fixed another issue I had. But now my NAV folder is empty, and the unit seems to be unable to load the latest maps. hu-omap:/opt> cd nav hu-omap:/opt/nav> ls . .. asn eceusa hu-omap:/opt/nav> Normally that folder should contain NAV_DB.INI, VIN.BIN etc Any idea what can I do to fix this please? Thanks |

RE: EVO ID5 - Unable to load Navigation Maps
It's very sad to see that user selling "everything" for nav don't even know where the maps are located.
Maps are located at the /mnt/data/nav |

Nav data and info is located in several folders, this empty folder was just to illustrate my issue. Don't get me started on your own Paypal addresses history and very high customer complains for selling half working solutions. You were away from the forum for 12 months and that was much better without you. You have nothing to contribute anyway. You don't need to pop in in each thread to show your website links and gain traffic if you have nothing to say |

RE: EVO ID5 - Unable to load Navigation Maps
Use a ntfs formatted drive for map data. My self I use a Samsung evo ssd with usb to sata cable. Works always.

Yes SSD will come next, but first I need to update the map data, map data is missing from that unit. I need to update it first, I don't have a spare disk for now. Problem, USB works, but as I said, EVO complains about data integrity, that same USB works fine in another unit. |

Try use another usb port
Also check mounted USB in mnt folder /mnt/umassXXX NBTEVO, ENAV2, MGU - CP OFF, Navi , APPS , Carplay, AA
MGU ID-8-9-10 Cars - Full Region change NCD Secure Coding 2.0 |

I ment that you should use an NTFS formatted drive for update data, I use that SSD for map data update not inside EVO.

RE: EVO ID5 - Unable to load Navigation Maps
Ok guys I got sorted
Turns out to be a HDD issue. After I took HDD from another EVO I had, I put it in this "faulty" EVO and all is good now, doing map update right now. There was no HDD fault in logs. Happy days Thanks for the tips and help |
