RE: New OP-COM 120309a
Well but we need more details.
Show us a pics with the "Interface test"
Show us if the drivers is installed. Show as if the VCP in opcom driver is set.
Tell us what windows version do you use.
Share pics of the both sides of your PCB
There are few thing that can generate that issue
Good luck

RE: New OP-COM 120309a
Thanks for your reply and time.
The first image I sent is a result of attempting to do an interface test.
I use windows 7 32bit.

I am afraid, I don't know what VCP means.

RE: New OP-COM 120309a
As I can see in your pics your tool it has a fake MCU Pic28F45K80
Even is marked OPCOM v5 its actually OPCOM v6
Specific for this fake MCU:
- component C22 and D5
- MCU pin 15 connected to L9637D pin 1
The solution is to chnage the MCU with a real one and flash it with an external programmet
Then make the hardware modifications
All you need is in this forum HERE
Good luck

This could be good only if you will change the MCU (PIC18F458) with an original one and do the hardware changes as in a tutorial that you can find in this forum.
If the CAN BUS transceivers aren't MCP2551 you have to change item.
Then you can use any kind or any version of OP-COM you want no matter is cracked or original one.
Good luck
