Entrynav2 retrofit
Hello guys!
My new 2018 F34 came with Radio Professional (Entrynav2 without GPS). I have retrofitted a 2017 Entrynav2 HU with GPS thinking this would be the easiest way as it is plug&play. I have plugged in everything including my CAN filter I have already successfully used in my old car along with NBT Evo retrofit. Navigation has worked from the first moment on. Later when I have started the car again and was driving the navigation was greyed out stating it is being loaded. But it remains all the time at this stage. As my Esys suitable for new I-level is not ready yet I haven‘t coded the headunit. Do you think this is the (only) reason for my problem? Or could there be another issue e.g. due to connected ATM which contains different VIN (original of the car). I hope this doesn’t cause protection mode or something like this. Further is there a way to get Entrynav2 navigation FSC fitted to my VIN? |

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
Thanks , but I don´t understand. As I wrote I have used this emulator already with NBT Evo before.
Or do you mean Entrynav2 needs a different emulator? If so, why, what is different? |

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
Fake fsc isn’t an option at the moment, regarding password for entrynav2 it has no use... since later firmware you can’t even reach it’s IP due to firewall. Also most developers just don’t do business navigation for some reason.
Edit, You need to know what your emulator does, filter out can message with vin or change can message, entrynav2 needs vin number in startup and so now and then to keep fsc codes accepted. |

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
Thank you... I have this typical CAN-filter from China:
https://m.aliexpress.com/item/3280201952...6769761601 I don’t know what it does exactly. I can just say that I have used it successfully for HU NBT and later for HU NBT Evo ID4 as well in my former 2015 F34. Do you have an idea which emulator is needed for Entrynav2? Further, could my OEM ATM cause this problem as it has different VIN? I remember when I have installed the new Entrynav2 HU at the beginning navigation was working, I have even started route guiding successfully. Also ConnectedDrive news, whether etc. were working. I left then the car and some hours later when I have started navigation was greyed, ConnectedDrive was not working showing connection failed and even bord computer data is empty. I will also recheck wiring as it was quite tight when I pushed back the HU for tightening the screws. |

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
You should install Professional version with 8.8 screen. More money but so much better and no emulator required

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
You can’t keep online services with emulator. If you wish to keep online services available you should go with evo and use patch.
Atm uses different protocol to check vin numbers. So even if you got navigation working with emulator online services will not work. |

RE: Entrynav2 retrofit
Yes you’re right. NBT Evo would be probably better. I just wanted to have it easy & cheap. Entrynav2 fits physically perfect and its function is enough for me. ConnectedDrive would be nice, but I don’t really need it.
Anyway, I have checked FSC status with Esys and most of them are rejected. So this is the problem. Then I have installed my NBT Evo ID4 set along with the same emulator and it worked without any problems. This means that something must be different with Entrynav2 or the emulator should be connected in different way? Maybe the pinout is different? Any ideas on this? Maybe wowa84 you can tell me about your experience with Entrynav2 and NBT emulator? I would still to be eager to get my Entrynav2 working. Even if I will go later for NBT Evo, but then I would prefer ID6, which is not recommended to be flashed at very first 2015 ID4 HU. Thanks again for all |
