so that was short lived, im at 0206,0257 doesnt allow me to tick again, maybe i need to redownload files

the you will be able to use the user mode w/o the green menu.

doing this allowed me to remove the bose from the meta file and just let it update itself, after this bose showed N/A

Sorry bad explanation.

Removing the folders itself gave an error when the update got to updating the bose, forcing it to abort at bose and not get to complete the update.

So i modified the metainfo2.txt file and removed the 3 listings for the bose in there, hoping that it wont look for it. this gave me a checksum error as the file size changed e.t.c and would not let me progress

Thats what the other bit of code did, it ignored the checksum allowing the update to progress and showed N/A for the bose now as now the folder are not there and also the information in the metainfo2.txt file pointing to the folders had been removed.

I updated it using standard and not user defined as the bose files have now been completely ignored and it worked perfectly fine!

i had todo all this as i just could not untick the boxes themselves

i used todo web design so the metafile just looked like a basic xml type file to me

sou you updated metainfo2.txt in "root" folder lines from 
MetafileChecksum = "349042c9"
to
skipMetaCRC = "true"

then you erased those lines from metainfo2.txt file in "2" folder

Yes exactly that

i updated the metainfo2.txt file in each folder, root, 1 and 2

i first put the card in without modifying anything to make sure all the crc checks were correct before modifying it as i believe it does this when it says fetching meta info

i thing it should work with updating metainfo just in maybe root and 2,but you updated in 1 too, so you deleted the folders too?

or just edited 3 metainfos, and in "2" folder in metainfo deleted lines

yeah maybe would have worked with root only but didnt bother trying as was getting on my nerves
