Followed the instruction manual and all went well but had a few butt clenching moments when I thought everything was about to go tits up.
Finally, inserted the activator, got the "success" screen but then found that all my UK routes included a visit to Ukraine! Changed my location to the UK, deleted all my favourites and historical destinations and now everything seems to be working OK. I'll have a better look tomorrow.

I've had a same problem when updating to 2018 maps 6.26.1, gps located me somewhere arround the ecuator on the sea in Gulf of Guinea. If I want to add route then route starts  at south europe in Greece (thats because the map is covering only Europe and first roads start there). So the problem was IMHO because I've deleted old map database and HDD nav partition and then installed new maps. GPS position was OK when no route is added, but immediately goes to south Greece if I add any route. After adding route and driving for 1km GPS position has settled down and was OK. If I reboot MMI then GPS position go nuts again but again fixed after 1-2 days. After that experience I never deleted old database or HDD partition just install new maps over old ones and never had similar problems.

I think deleting your favorite destinations or last added destinations is not a solution because I've deleted all when deleting nav database and partition and that was a trigger for problem with GPS.

No, its not necessary to make FW update.
But by the way you could make it, takes not so long and brings better performance to your Navi-System!

RE: Audi Map 2019 6.28.2 8R0060884GA
Hi everyone,

I've updated my 3GP from 6.19.3 to 6.28.2. After the update, I activated with Activator 3GP 6.24.2.
Everything works fine except for a couple of error codes.

The first one:
"03276 - Please Check Software Version Management"  - This one I solved by generating SVM fix Code, following the "Update instructions for MMI 3G v1.7" from the first page.

The second one:
"03623 - invalid security/release code" - This one I also tried to fix via green menu (dtc value 73 /Select Send test passed) but it didn't work. It would remove the error code but after some time it comes back.
I've also found a script which removes FSC but I'm not sure about that? Does anybody know more about this script and FSC in general? What is FSC?

Thanks!

RE: Audi Map 2019 6.28.2 8R0060884GA
Need help with a 3G High unit from a friend.
Unit was updated to 6.28.2 maps, but somewhere in the activation process something went wrong.
I wasnt there, so I dont know what he did.

The problem is: His map remains blocked. When inserting the SD with script in SD1, the message "already installed" appears. So I think he didnt wait for the map to get blocked or he didnt reset the mmi afterwards or some other fault.

You guys have a solution?

Reinstall the firmware and this should erase the activator data.

He said he did and it didnt make a difference (257_D6 again) .... I am thinking to help him installing 2018 with normal FSC again, then do 2019 again and use script. The normal FSC will overwrite script right?

RE: Audi Map 2019 6.28.2 8R0060884GA
Hello everyone ...
I would like to update an MMI 3GP..the last time I did it was two years ago ..
Today it is in version HN + _EU_AU3G_K0942_3 and 8R0060884ED ECE 6.24.2

Everything was fine last time for the update whether for firmware update, map or activation, with the help of the community and also with the help of Darkdll.

I would now like to update with the latest version ...

Already can you confirm that the 942 is the latest version for the MMI3GP on a Q5? Because it seemed to me that there was the 1001 but I'm not sure of everything ..

Then it seems to me that two years ago I activated the card with "Keldo activator".
If the 942 is the latest, just update the latest map version and do not need to activate again. Is it this?
- Is there any benefit of updating with user defined mode? (It seems to me that I do not have the Bose.
- Is there any benefit to removing the old card? Or can we install the news on the old without problem ...?
Thank you for all your response, I prefer to ask that to block the MMI ..

Sorry for my English I'm French
