Hi together, 

today i wanted to read a Audi A4 8H B7 Cabrio with 3.0 TDI Engine from 2007. Engine is BKN with 232 hp from factory (kess only shows 204 hp) and it states it is EDC16CP34. I also read ASB Engines on A6 Cars before.

First i've pluged in VCDS and Engine Connection was over CAN with Software 8H0910401A 0020 on it. So then i tried to plug in Kess and read the car. But it is not possible to read or read ID from Ecu with kess. Not over Can and not over K-Line. Also it always shows that Voltage is 0,00 Volt over Can and over K-Line it shows 2,5 V. Then I tried another Kess 5.017 but same error there. 

To be sure, that the kess are not broken I hooked up both kess and tried to read my car. there was no problem. 

Someone knows what the problem is with the A4 8H Cabrio, that I can not read over can or k-line with both kess 5.017 ?

Measure voltage on car obd port.... pin 16 must be 12v and pin 4,5 = gnd

Check fuses for obd socket

Or check cable of kess

It must see the voltage if fuses are good (and you say you can connect)

Kess cable or tool is broken
