3rd Party OBD2 Interface question
Hello i have DPF problem and the car has gone into Limp mode.
The power is now drained and will not allow me to go over 3000RPM Last time this happened i took it to a dealer who said they have to activate it manually. Now i know VCDS does this but i only have a china cable and im very strapped for cash at the minute as i have just moved out. Will any other software work with this interface i have as i cant seem to find a registered version of VCDS that works with my interface. I can get the normal VCDS to work fine with it and it recognises it but as its not registered i cant perform the DPF regen. I was wondering if ODIS or other software supports this Thank you James |

RE: 3rd Party OBD2 Interface question
VCDS hexcan chinese clone any version (10.xx 11.xx or 12.xx) sucessfully work DPF regeneration and VCDS software work ONLY with VCDS device.
VCDS "Lite" software versions 1.0 an 1.2 use VAG-COM or any simple K/KL/KKL interface (e.g. Fiat Multicuscan KKL interface) and can NOT work on VCDS hexcan device. So if you have good clone device and software, after "test" interface then you see in option "About" / window "Info license": Status license:Fully registrated and activated You probably have bad software or bad interface, or you do not know how to use VCDS. If you want to spend more money for good device then buy VAS-PC 5054a and use with VAS v19 or ODIS software. Quality tool as the beautiful woman...
