According to part diagrams this PN is the control switch for garage door operation. Not the transmitter. 

The transmitter is a different part which was never updated. Will try to find the latest controls Switch PN to replace i.e. 8K0959719C

The control switch probably can not be updated. ?? Because no firmware was issued  to public

What I have done is,
purchased the cheapest homelink switch with firmware 0050 from europe. (less than €50 ). However that comes with different colour trim than mine.

After testing, will try to swap housings, clean pcb with alcohol, take board photos and install.

A costly solution but the only one that could satisfy me due to not being able to update the CM.

Will include pcb photos when item is received. Maybe one can advise for a solution how to.
