XZBMW  G30 NBT Evo component protection after coding
hi,

I got a friend, who tried coding a NBT2 in an G30 with a modified VO. He only disabled the telematic. 

After that the component protection was active.

Now I'm afraid of coding those NBT2 units. Is the component protection always becoming active after coding, or did he do something wrong?

Please give us more information. Is there any errors in the EVO regarding component protection? Can you code this EVO back to the orignal FA or not? Most of the such called "help me, I've got component protection" questions is not related to it at all. And, of course, everything can be solved easily.

If you disable Telecom box (TCB) the NBT2, Kombi, and RSE modules will throw a fit, and behavior will be bad, you need a Javascript object notation (json.zip file) from BMW ASAP Portal to enable component protection on modules concerned.

NBT2 Flashing Notation 
If you exchange NBT, RSE, KOMBI ,TCB or disable Telecom box (TCB) while flashing the NBT2,. The Kombi, and RSE modules will throw a fit, and behavior will be bad for NBT2, Hu_H3 (MGU), you need a Java Script object notation (json.zip file) from BMW ASAP Portal to enable component protection on modules concerned so all modules work as intended from factory. The HU-H3 (formerly MGU), TCB, RSE and instrument cluster control units are linked together. This should prevent tampering with vehicles. If one or more of the components are exchanged, the connection must then be re-established.

In order to re-establish the connection, an electronic certificate must be created in a BMW back-end and imported into the vehicle


The vehicle must not be handed over to the customer without successful control unit validation.

Various vehicle functions are not available without control unit validation, corresponding fault memories are set. angry

Yes, BMW Workshop have olso Problem with the protection - we do it Always on Online Suport they make it so also Team Viewer. #
