Clone EDC17C46 need immo off ?
Hi 

I have some queston, my brohter has a car with edc17c46 where the ecu is some hardware damage. I test it on my ktag and i was able to read them without any problem. Now is my queston can i clone the ecu with the ktag without doing immo off ? Or i need after writing the clone on the new ecu also immo off ?

This ecu type is known to be troublesome. It is easier to do immo off... post eprom and flash of new ecu (same hardware and software numbers) and we will give you immo off

Hey thx a lot. I have read in the internet that some people have problems immo off on this ecu. There are many people that have the problem the car is running but on the dash is the error immo on. I hope there are no problems

I had a Passat 2013 some weeks ago with edc17c46 and i cloned ecu full with service of Online VAG Dump Tool. Their Online tools to get out or edit immo data in ECU and BCM2 works nice

you may need to code a key to the dash if there isnt one coded all ready  thinking

There are two Keys coded. If you search on the internet the are many people the have the same problem with edc17c46 with immo on on the dash

I did say that they can be problematic.

Have you tried 23andi23 solution ?
