Since i copied my ISTA program to a bigger harddrive (image) i cannot start ista anymore. I get a box that says "unregistered" and then Hardware id / Username and Serial Numer.

The version of my ista is 4.02.14

Does anybody know how i can fix this? I have been searching for a solution all day.

Can you be a bit more specific? What exactly do i have to copy from where and to what?

From the registry of the other hard drive .

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography

export it and then you need to remove everything from below the machine id string

then run the reg file in your other new hdd and reboot .

if its still the same , try your HDD Volume id .

I first made an image from the old drive and restore it to a new drive. I did not do a new install or new windows install. Just a migration to a bigger drive.

I will try and let you know.

I know , that's why im telling you to copy the machine id .

Changing the volume_id solved the problem.

hello friends I have the same problem I made a copy of the hdd restore on the same computer and it does not start me it asks for unregistered activation as I could activate it I followed the steps of deleting the key in the registry but I do not have the id.reg could help me thanks.
