Audi MMI3GP/3G+ firmware downgrade
hi guys,
need some advise. its for audi mmi3gp / 3g+ headunit(s) if say i have updated the mmi to K900 / K942, is there a way to downgrade it back to K700? should i do an emergency update by using K700 firmware? would this help? fyi. the k900/k942 firmware has green menu and emergency update enabled. so it should no issues to perform it. just wondering if can be done like that. please advise. if you feel that I have in some way contributed / helped solve your issues/problems/requests, please do not forget to press thanks or rep button. Much appreciated.

RE: Audi MMI3GP/3G+ firmware downgrade
Yes it is, but only the core parts will be downgraded to 700 with emergency upgrade.
Process for that is simple. Put in the SD card with desired version and start the emergency upgrade. It will go into boot loader and flash MMI3GAPP and few others modules with the ones from SD card. The others will stay on the version you currently have. So, actually depends on what you want to test. |
