RE: HARDWARE NOT SUPPORTED: KTAG
All right guys,
thank you very much for sharing. I am using a 24V 5A Labour power supply, fully adjustable. So i tried to crank the voltage up to 14V without luck. Measured all cables and connections: All OK Measured voltage on the BDM pad while communicating: 13,5V -> All OK Tested another PC: No difference Tested other cables: No difference Then i went back to a EDC16U1, and i read that right away. So i expect that the ECU is somehow odd. It looks a little like it has been opened before. Could it be a reading protection? I haven't ever heard from that on BDM though. Boost Fanatic.
Great tutorial for learning about remapping: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...4l65Cu6W-r If i helped you, don't forget THX + REP. |

RE: HARDWARE NOT SUPPORTED: KTAG
mine Bosch ME 7.xxx was also messed up before. On mine I could read but get "checksum error" at the end , and after the same issue as you.
imho mine ME 7.xxx was tuned before and write with another tool that maybe has calculate the chk in different manner. I retain that Ksuite version with no chk correction can be used to read an ecu with this issues. mine ME 7.xxx would not communicate (on bench) neither with kess (obd or boot mote) nor with other diag tool ... |

RE: HARDWARE NOT SUPPORTED: KTAG
late edit:
... so I simulated the same ME7 .xxx reading using both adapters. with the 12V 2A adapter , the ktag voltage output to ECU was 11.6 with the 13.8 25A power supply the voltage was 13.5 ... so it`s clear that ktag uses the build in buck converter and regulators just for proprietary use and to power up the ecu will pretty much use the "raw" voltage / current from the input source. (I always thought that voltage is regulated too. how stupid am I for not measuring this yet .... have a nice weekend , friends |
