What is the purpose of PSdZData Lite - is this required for diagnostics?

If your ISTA is already working and you downloaded already the psdzdata Lite you now only need E-Sys and a Launcher for coding your trailer coupling retrofit.
You don't need the psdzdata Full.
In summary:

E-Sys + psdzdata Lite= Coding trailer coupling
E-Sys + Launcher + psdzdata Lite= Coding some other things
E-Sys + Launcher + psdzdata Full= Coding + flashing ecus
ISTA without psdzdata or SDP or BLP=Diagnostics

Hi All, just install this latest version of Sedoy's ISTA using his installer on Win7x64...but when I try to connect to the car using K+DCAN cable, I am getting this error The car couldn't succesfully identified. Check Car Interface and "PAD Aktiv". Any pointers will be appreciated.

Which Interface you use, what connection settings you have in ISTA?

I have k+dcan cable (which is working fine in previous version of ISTA+ ver.4.03.30), I have 'Ediabas default settings' in
ISTA+ (your version).

I use this configs also and ENET without Problem. But i use for K-DCAN NodesEdiabasVoltageControl.

Thanks again for your quick reply however, i am still not able to get my head around this.

I have been using this K+DCAN cable on older versions of ISTA+ for diagnosing with no issues, so what is the use for
nodes link you have supplied? Can I not get my K+DCAN cable to connect to the car as i have been doing before?
