Hate to tell you that this thread is getting flooded with other info non related and also not correct.
For the last time people, Inpa K+DCAN is able to talk to all models E F G I. -The switch on the cable in one position that bridges pins 7 and 8 is meant for K-line protocol or better said cars built up to march 2007. -with the switch in the other position where pins 7 and 8 are unbridged it's meant for CAN protocol or better said all models built starting with march 2007. There are several types of cables, and beside the physical button/switch there is also another step where cable needs to know on what type of protocol it will be used on. Some cables can switch automatically to 500kbit in the first minute that you try to connect to the car while others require also to use the "K+DCAN utility 2.0d" in the first minute otherwise they will switch to K-line. All these should be present on the disc that comes with the cable, |
