E90 NBT Evo ID6 Retrofit Power Issues
I did a non idrive conversion to NBT Evo in a 2006 BMW 330i. When I drive to a store and quickly pop in and out and turn the car back on the idrive animation will play but then the screen will go black. I have to manually reboot the Evo with the volume knob for the screen to turn back on.
Any ideas? |

Which CAN adapter are you using? Sounds like it could be a coding issue but I would suggest you contact the adapter supplier for assistance.

I am using the car systems adapter. I messaged them but they were only open for another 10 minutes. I heard it could be an issue between 30g f and 30g with my car being non idrive from the factory. |

code JBBE CAS and kombi with 609, and update Software in Emulator.

After coding JBBE for 609 check for errors in INPA/ISTA for that module. If your JBBE does not have a 30g-f relay you will see errors related to the relay.

I am at a loss. Everything is coded with $609. I tried 8.6, 8.7 and 8.8 volts with the regulator, I tried setting the Apix cid length. Any ideas before I rip the NBT evo out of my car and throw back in a CIC? Car systems stopped responding to me on Skype. I do not know who else to ask.

If you have sound during the screen blackup and EVO was originally ID4 unit flashed to ID5, it it most probably EVO software version issue. Versions after 006_017_006 are not working well with ID4 2GB RAM units.

Do you have original CID cable ? If yes try to change voltage regulator. I was have same issue in friends car where I was retrofit evo. Black screen or sometimes no signal.

What screen have you used?
I also had problems with some original ID5/ID6 EVOs and a screen for NBT with cable and voltage regulator if I use a I-Level higer than 64. |
