Hi to all,
These two documents describe how to setup your own VPN server and connect to Remote ICOM without third party VPN provider. OpenVPN suit ( open source ) is used. It is very simpe ( difficult for the first time) but it can be used with BMWtools or ISPI to remotely code or diag a car. It also covers different remote setup's e.x. laptop with wifi on internet and ICOM conceted to LAN.
The setup described was made with win10 32/64. It has not been tested with ENET cable. So anybody want to test it please feel free to do it. I will help anyway i can.

openvpn isn`t 3rd party ?
imho everything you need to install to OS is a 3rd party app.
in windows you can use vpn without 3rd party software ony on PPTP/L2TP stacks.
anyway, the best way is not to fiddle with windows machines inside LAN, simply use good home gateway/router for example cheap or mikrotik, or whatever else which can act as vpn server and connecting to this kind of vpn gives you access to local networks without hassle.

Third party PROVIDER. And yes,, you can you use PPTP/L2TP from windows. This is not fiddling with Windows Network? Any way,,, Thanks for your remarks and please share with us with or without pass your setup.
