If you have the common USB-CAN interface found everywhere you can use the following software:

Thanks for your guidance, it looks complicated, but I have something new to study.

If you get an ELM device you can send CAN commands via AT commands in any old terminal program ... very easy ... although you may have to write a script to repeat the commands if they need to be repeated. I believe there are terminal programs that can repeat commands periodically, but I don't use them.

You can also do the same with an Arduino and a CAN shield.

I use a neat but lesser known device from elrasoft. For anyone who's used the UPA-USB eeprom programer, it's the same company. It comes with its own software and it's easy to send/repeat commands or run it as a sniffer.

Has anyone tried it, if I buy an used ATM module (ATM-01 R2-ECE-4GW) on ebay, can it work in other countries? Like Taiwan

I like to learn and take risks biggrin
I received the used ATM MODULE (R2-ECE-4GW) , I can use the BMW ONLINE service in Taiwan to successfully view the weather/news/shop... (donor from Germany vehicle)
But, I can't add my vehicle on ConnectedDrive website (I use ATM's VIN), I have received the Security Code and filled it in, but still can't add a vehicle  sweating
