XZBMW  X1 F48 used LED headlights coding problem
The car (X1 F48 USA model 2016/06) has currently used headlights (from european car). The original was stolen.

There is a strange problem with coding. Normally, we find a CAFD, encode it and it is ok.

In this case the headlights after the connection show the CAFD_0000180B_008_009_005 and work normally. Unfortunately, they can not be coded.

The CAFDs disappear when the ignition is switched off and on. Headlights stop working after this.
When I try to add new CAFD, there is a problem finding it.

There is a message:

Failed to get CAFs for SWE "swf1_000021d6-008_007_002".
KIS error: Die technische Einheit 000021D6 konnte in der KIS-Wissensbasis nicht gefunden werden.

I searched for this CAFD in different PsdzData but nowhere is it.

RE: X1 F48 used LED headlights coding problem
I can imagine that esys will complain because of the euro headlights. Might be different part numbers for the led modules or something for euro or us cars? In that case with us vo and euro lights won’t work.

Edit: just checked. Parts are the same. Have you tried flashing the headlights? Might be a software issue or vin mismatch and I guess the headlights must be taught in. Do you have any errors in ista?

RE: X1 F48 used LED headlights coding problem
ISTA gives typical errors for not coded headlamps. Headlight from Europe always work in a car from the USA.
I wanted to flash them, but ISTA did not want to flasch only the FLE modules. When all functions are turned off (except FLE), ISTA returns to programming the whole car. Today I will try to do with ESYS.

If that error comes when You detecting cafd, maybe update your I level ista files. If You are getting errors while coding, then what fa changes You are making? 5a2? 5a4?
I had problem while coding bdc while retrofitting LEDs, but don't remember how I solved it. oh, and don't forget that led cars had different rear lights. It's for those who retrofitting leds

RE: X1 F48 used LED headlights coding problem
Change FA from US to ECE code FLE modules
Now initialize FLE Modules with ISTA
