I'm trying to read out a cas 2 module of an E61 pre-lci unit.
I connect the wires according to the schema but I get the error below.

Do you have 0L01Y selected?
It looks like your connection must be correct as it has read the MCU ID.

My generic fix is to unplug the programmer for several minutes, restart the computer, and make a fresh attempt. That generally works for me, I had a 5M48H that refused to decrypt for reading. Restarting everything fixed it.
Just to check the obvious, does the chip mask match the software setting?

I had this error when I have bad connection of the wires. Resoldered and and it worked. To be sure I remeasured all the connections with multimeter.

I did the solder by a professional company to sorten that out.

I select 2K79X for mcu type.

I think you have a different CAS, check the Mask type on the chip, R270 is telling you that you have connected to 0L01Y MCU, not 2K79X

The problem is with pin 5 of the ribbon cable. When I connect pin 10 iso pin 5 it identifies it as 2K79X how ever it keeps on reading forever. When I create a bridge between 2 components it then reads the 2K79X successfully

According to the diagram pin 5 should here be connected. When I connect pin 10 and created a bridge between pin 1, 2 and 3 it successfully reads the cas module.

I'm using the R270+ reader.

I see things are mixed up. I've 2 cas2 modules one with 2K79X and 0L01Y.
When I create a bridge I can read out the 2K79X. For the 0L01Y I can't find a matching diagram on the R270+ program maybe I overlooked it?
