VW Passat 2006 2.0TDI PPD1.2 BMR
Hello there!
I have an VW Passat 2006 2.0TDI PPD1.2 BMR with DPF, EGR off stage 1 and i was wondering if it is possible to increase glow plugs timer when cold. When under 0^C the car seems to take longer spins to start. What i have noticed is that the glow plug indicator stays no more than 2 seconds. Above 5^C the engine starts just fine. Thanks for any advice and help! I will upload the dump file as well and i welcome any help about the issue.

First check glow plugs there for this engine 2 variants, one of them bigger voltage and other lower just check carefully.

RE: VW Passat 2006 2.0TDI PPD1.2 BMR
Everything is checked. I have a new glow plug relay, new glow plugs - NGK, seals, O-rings, fuel pump. It happens only below 0^C. No errors. If i put the ignition ON/Off a few times the car starts fine. The problem is that the glow plugs are used between 1 and 2 seconds. I don't remember any recalls from VW about the glow plugs and i checked for any recalls and there are't any for my VIN number. I wish to know if there is a way to check in the DUMP the voltage of the ECU and to slightly increase the glow duration.

RE: VW Passat 2006 2.0TDI PPD1.2 BMR
UPDATE: The car began to have slow cold starts even when hot outside. I checked again the fuel lines, fuel pump, tandem pump, timings, glow plugs, injectors. Everything checked ok. I pulled out the fuel temperature sensor and the car starts very fast now but till the engine gets warmer the idle rpm are above 1000. Is there a way to change the cold start map? Bigger IQ at start up?

Vcds can raise or lower the idle speed

cheers

It not about the normal idle, it is about the cold start RPM. I still didn't got to the bottom of this. Now regardless of the temperature, the cold start after a long period of time is very long. Verified again everything from fuel lines, lift pump, fuel pump, injectors, seals, starter... even changed 2 injectors. I now suspect something with the ECU... That is why maybe someone is able to modify the map start IQ?

RE: VW Passat 2006 2.0TDI PPD1.2 BMR
Hi there again, my problem still persists but i also found that my DPF OFF file must have something wrong and bad with error switching and reporting. I am removing the ECT sensors and no errors are thrown. If anyone have a healthy DPF OFF or even an original file for PPD1.2 03G906018EM SN100L8000000 i would greatly apreciate it. Thanks in advance!

You file is awesome, it seem is has some fuel consumption optimizations. My cold start issue might be a problem with the cylinder head. Next week i'll check for any cranks between valves. I would apreciate if there are any tutorials on how to change the cold start map.
