Hello to All,
Friend bought Mercedes from USA with HU 4.5. We would like to set to Europe but Vediamo shows flash needed after changing lanuage. No change country or language possible. Could you please help in identification and share telemetrics which will allow on change HU 4.5 A 246 901 46 04 to EU firmware (language and radio frequancy) ? How exactly process looks like ? Just put DVD with telemetrics into HU and next coding change in Vediamo ? Pictures of HU label and Xentry paramter on attached pictures. I know that next is maps for EU installation. But a the place first firmware  Thank you for any help ! |

Yes ,....
hold a red + 1 + # handset and get into an engineering menu then go to point 7=HW setting then point 3 market DVD and set to ECE |

Just to confim : It will change everything, like radio frequancy, language ? Or just DVD movie region ? Maps can be later updeted for Europe ? I guess code for maps will be needed. |

Yes, once you change REGION to ECE, you can update maps with corresponding pincode.

Unfortnaulty region change option is inactive (same as in Vediamo, after change to ECE there was flash error shown).
It looks like there is only US firmware inside. Does anybody has any idea how reflash this unit ? I guess I need ECE telemetrics ? Thanks for help ! |

What you mean by 5 attemps ?
As I showed on picture, you can only change DVD changer option, the rest options is grey out. As I mentioned, Vediamo also show error. I know that it is strange but it is how this unit is set-up. So please advice what could be done more ? |

If it so, with Xentry and Xentry Online corresponding Telematic for this HU its the only way change region!
