you can temporarily stop it restarting but putting the unit into flash mode - use transmitter, it has a set flash mode function, then you can re-flash the unit and see if that fixes it.

The problem is in usb/usb data, took now another one.

With tool i've catched the unit and erased map data, unit stopped restarting and gone back to maps 2016, after that nav was working again

glad to hear all is OK now , which tool bro you have used ,, I have a unit which has a similar symptoms and I guess same issue ,

apparently its not a same standard issue with NBT rebooting . 

some cases like : 

1- corrupted HDD partition while loading new MAP , which cause endless reboot 
2- bad MAP Data loaded to NBT while map update, , which cause endless reboot 
3- very old NBT software and very new map update , , which cause endless reboot 


solutions : 

1- I still don't have the solution , JeroenBMW knows how   hiddentmi
2- disable DE fsc with Esys , then load another region MAP with different FSC . ( acolt Situation and solution ).
3- Flash NBT .
