XZBMW  BMW E61 Coding problems after retrofit.
Hi, I have some coding problems with BMW E61 2006 535d. 
Basically mate retrofitted Fully automatic tow bar ( he did all wiring and ect,I wasn't involved).
After retrofit, I did coding for tow bar, used ISTA P (ICOM) with latest Pzsdaten,  coded new VO to LM and CAS module and new battery was coded too and of course ISTA updated some modules with latest firmware. 
Programing run without any problems, no faults in ISTA D, but remote key almost stopped to work. Car some times unlocks but then don't lock, or other way it locks and unlocks alright and then just stops work at all. Some times even locks without pressing lock, when you press central locking in car it reacts slowly but locks and unlocks.
In INPA I am getting 50 Siren error_ecu_subfunction_not_supported__invalid_format , but if I am testing functions of Siren module in ISTA everthing works and no faults.
Maybe some one knows how to fix it or from what I shut to start.

I would focus at why you dont have vin in ZBE. Try and FA_write and VO code ZBE. Also wondering why whole MOST line is without vin..

Hi,
Inpa very often show bulshit VIN. Need to check with tool32.
check fuses, reset cas with tool32, try to re-plug CAS with ignition on, updare cas

ZBE like CCC and CID modules, often do not write VIN on vehicles of that date.

if the opening / closing problem is also present by the internal button, .. check / replace the body module.

Okay I will check VIN numbers through tool32.  But all functions works , just only remote key dont work properly.  MOST VIN NUMBER missing probably because my mate didn't plug most properly, when we was runing ISTA P.

Internal button works fine, just lock/unlocking sounds a bit different. It was some water near fuse box and my mate sprayed with contact cleaner. I was Google for long time never seen same problem which caused by programing.

E61 and remote issues is almost always the diversity antenna under the rear spoiler.

It's quite likely to be a physical problem. The tailgate wiring on E61 tends to fatigue and break. If fitting a towbar the tailgate was probably opened and closed a bit which probably finished it off.

Have a Google around for E61 tailgate wiring and you'll find some very helpful guides.

There is a single thin wire, something like white and brown (maybe) that provides the power for the remote receiver module under the spoiler in the tailgate. Even with my fuse blown for that wire ISTA-D showed no faults at all but there was no remote central locking.

Same with most bmw's. Its either diversity module has water ingress and has eaten away the copper tracks on the pcb, or wiring to module in boot loom. The cables snap after years of opening and closing the boot. This is an old thread, I've done another today so may help somebody searching for same problem.
