hi@ all i have a 6wa which i will retrofit in my f10 year 2010 .

the km is under my old dashboard , so i can install it with only delete the old vin.

i have delete the old vin with r270 programmer and fill the lines with „FF“ there are many instruktion don the inet.
after that i read eeprom again and its ok all the lines are overwritten.

then i have install the 6wa in my car and it have still the red dot.
then i have change the vo and added 6wa and time criteria to 0311

and have vo code the dashboard . but its still the same red dot is lightning.

when i read coding data from dass then it shows me my last 7 vin from my car, but why is the dot still there. 

please help.

because you need put sraight vin of you car not FF

Re-flash the cluster with Esys . or other method is to press "Code default value" button which most of people are scared of .

then press "Detect CAF for SWE" button and you will get a menu with all the compatible FAF's , select the one of your car I-Step , then press " Code " .

both should solve your red Dot issue IF you really did the correct work with R270 .

anobody says... when ff then the dashboard is like a new one and when you coding this vo code then the vin from car writes in the dash or iam wrong with that .???

when i read coding data then the vin from my car (last7) shows correctly. so i think the vin is in the dash after the vo coding

thanks emthuning for your help. iam not soooo good with esys . but first of all you think without flashing it don’t will works? so coding vo is not enough?

ok i have tried today flash the dashboard and after it starts i become the error . svk-ist dont right sgbmids kombi-60 ......... i dont know the exactly error but that’s comes when i tried to flash it ..

the problem is i dont know good how to flash i have doing it step by step with instruction .

first of all don't trust Esys when it read the VIN of any ECU , second of all I didn't say that your did wrong by replacing old VIN with FF's . that is the correct way but whoever wrote those DIY's on the internet are people who have done this job once ( Most of them ) and decided to make a guide out of only one time experience.

you are using used cluster which means many values are still related to the donor car , you are asking a question and I answered you according to years of experience . you want to solve your problem then consider my advice . if you don't believe in it then simply dump it away

lool yeah , I didn't see his post . no worries but his method is also valid , many people prefer to write VIN instead of FF , for me I prefer FF's as sometimes I do this job on bench for people without knowing the VIN of the receiver car .

but that is not the reason for your issue .FF's should do the job as well . I replied to your PM already and we will sort it out for sure

Have all VINs been deleted or have you forgotten one?
Or was one only partially deleted?

i thing all was deleted .i checked the vin after write and all changes are correctly in eeprom .

before i delete the win everytime i turn car on the cluster becomes 5 more km .
after i changed the vin . the cluster don’t push 5 km on it when i start car.

so i think it is right with the vin .

but the dot is still there
