So I have installed Ford IDS software downloaded from here. Instructions include
1) Install ids 86 before changeing date to 1/7/2015
2) Change date to 1/7/2015 and hold till step 5.
so up to step 5 instructions to open program and set as non dealer and obviously  country.
5) create restore point.
6) Change date back to todays date and install V112.01
7) after this install, go back and restore to backup created at step 5 and open program.

Ok upon opening program I get the following message. (see attachment)

Now this usually times out. Program doesnt start and I,ve wasted numerous hours trying to sort it out.

Have installed this program 3 times now, each time on a fresh install of win 7 64 bit.

Anyone have any ideas

So have I did something wrong or is this a fix file. I went back to try and find the person who donated this file to see if I missed and instruction but failed to find him

This one is a totally different solution but only works on windows 7 32 bit

Ok,,,,, so is my problem known to people or do I have something weird going on

The restore point method does not work for many people and it does work for some so maybe its problem with your system. If you have had another version of ids on there before and uninstalled it then that could be your problem... ids leaves some rootkit type files in your main hdd partition the only solution for that is to erase hdd and make a fresh windows installation.

Or you could download a vm ware version of ids.
