TRICORE VS OBD II
Hello Guys, I have a question; I have a bmw 320d 2007 year and this car ecu bosch edc17cp02. I read some thing about the ecu problem for example I can read via obd but after the 2009 second half made ecu can't write via obd so my ecu is obd okay but still I want to know if I read the ecu original file via obd after can I write the tuned file from boot mode (tricore mod)? Is it the same file via obd read and boot mode file ?
Thank you in advance for your information my ecu tool is kess v2 clone with ksuite 2.47. ecu information: HW: 07809000 SW: 1037390655 Spare: 07809212 HW Ver.: 0281014238 SW upg.: 07809213 |

RE: TRICORE VS OBD II
Like your other thread, this is relating to TuningProtection, and this is the same software which I have you the list, it should be safe, if in doubt just go tricore bootmode, if you flash worst case normally it won't start until ori is flashed back on, use boot to be safe

Actually I mean, is it boot mode reading and via obd reading output file same or different ? by the way you are very helpful thank you so much |

RE: TRICORE VS OBD II
Basically there two ways you can go about this
Read OBD > Write OBD Read boot > Write boot If OBD don't work use boot, problem solved no hassle |
