Flashing NBT evo problem - recognize id4 vs id5
Hi,
My evo original ID5, worked well before but i uncarefully to make it bricked. I sent it to shop, they opened to fix and after returned the HWEL now ID4.
I need your help:
1. Is hardware inside still ID5 ? or they changed/robbed something and replaced with ID4 HW?
2. I cleared V850 and tried to flash it back to ID5 on bench with psdzdata 4.10.20 but got errors, anyone can read the error file and help me to solve this ? i willing to donate if someone do it thru teamview and pay for fsc pack also.
Thanks in advance  itwasntme

RE: Flashing NBT evo problem
I dont think they changed its hardware to id4 even they did it all id4 evos are updateable to ıd5.
compare the serial in hu with the sticker on hu.

missing lines tell you there is something wrong with hu software i think.
for id5 you need to see btld 006 there

ı think you have to find a way to start a proper flashing...
and if you share your way here it would be great smile

RE: Flashing NBT evo problem
if the photos belong to the same NBT, before and after the repair, .. the HW has been replaced.

I think they robbed/changed my HW id5, replaced with another id4.

Serial number changed also.

HW id4 now but RAM memory still 4GB (checked in tool32 and femtoevo), so my evo now id4 or 5 ?
How to check for sure ? Show me the way to open it if needed.

Thanks in advance

Mixing components from different HW will never work...

And yes this is normal you can not read HDD on Windows man, not only this is QNX file system (Not FAT32 not NTFS) and the HDD is also password protected.

I seriously think BMW coding/programming is definitely not for you rickynguyen, there are tons of info to digest first and you already try to do all those things without knowing the basics.

"Mixing components from different HW will never work..." yes youre right - my evo not working now.

There no instructor or training course about bmw retrofit in my country. I have to learn everything myself from many forums in internet. Not all problems i got still there, so i have to ask, to do it, try it myself like a child learning to walk then good walk he can run.

Asking so much may annoy some of you but i think it good for many many newbies like me. They need more and more informations to solve their problems.

@bmwcoder75: how about you about 5-10 years ago ? i think at that time you same as me now, just newbie smile

I am not critisizing the fact you are learning, we are all learning, but I am appealed by the fact you do not seem to take the right steps at all, learn the basics by reading basic information widely available and you keep asking questions every time a bee farts next to you...
Read more that will help you a lot

ID4 - 2GB RAM / ID5 - 4GB RAM
If you need, I can remotely modify HWEL back to 2FC3, then you can try Flash HU again.
