FSC in DME - what does it mean? BMW G30
Hi guys,

Can anyone tell what does the FSC in DME do?

I'm trying to retrfoit 5DF and I just checked FSC statuses and there is a rejected code in DME:

DME_BAC2[DiagAddress=18(0x12)]
RootCertStatus not available
SWSigStatus rejected
SWTApplications
----------
AppID 192(0xC0)
UpgradeIndex 1(0x01)
SWTType SWTclassic light
FSCStatus not available
FSCCertStatus not available
----------
AppID 149(0x95)
UpgradeIndex 1(0x01)
SWTType SWTclassic light
FSCStatus not available
FSCCertStatus not available

Not sure whether I need to add new FSC to DME to have accepted status to retrfoit Active Cruise Control?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

It's the BMW 540xd G31 07/2017.

I'm wondering what this really is, car is remaped and after this status came rejected. Is there anyway to change it back to Acccepted?

Below two FSC descriptions were shared above, so I won't repeat that.

The first one in question is not specifically a FSC but rather a signature ( certificate ) check. Given that the DME is tuned, it's not passing signature checks, but the btld was most likely modified to enable DME even if signature checks don't pass.

If you hook up to ISTA car will show tuning protection triggered, or signature validation failed on DME. If car goes in to BMW warranty will be void immediately.
