(Solved) E90 N46 road speed fault, rough shifts
This vehicle has rough shifts and very late shifts. It previously had oil exchanger failure mixing coolant and gearbox oil.
It now logs missing road speed fault in the dme. I can read road speed in DSC and EGS so i think the signal is in the PT CAN I thought DME fault, opened it and found signs of water ingress. Replaced it, fault remains! The road speed signal comes from mechatronic, correct? Am stumped. Any ideas? |

RE: E90 N46 road speed fault, rough shifts
Went one better and used ISTA to create a testplan scenario that led me to speed signal at DME pin 17 plug X00061. This pin is on signal wire F_DFAHR that comes from DSC. It is the rear right wheel speed signal!! Testing this wire for integrity and with oscilloscope to see if it sends a waveform. Will report if I get anything. may be a DSC fault after all!!

It was DSC. Was sending corrupt road speed signal.
