Mercedes retrofit blind spot assist
Hi,
I'm hoping someone here can help me with this. I have retrofitted blind spot assist on a 2018 GLC 43 AMG (including rear radar sensors, new bumper wiring harness, wiring to K40 fuse block, ground and CAN PER, Left/Right mirror glass with blind spot indicator and additional wiring between mirror and door control modules) I used Vediamo and EIS222.CBR to enable option code 234. I now get the option on the cluster, but it indicates that blind spot assist is inoperative. I can successfully actuate the indicators in the mirrors using Xentry. I cannot communicate with the radar sensors using Xentry. So I guess my questions are: 1. Is there anything else I would need to enable via Vediamo, before I start troubleshooting wiring to the rear bumper wiring harness? 2. If the wiring is correct, should Xentry be able to communicate with the radar sensors? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. David |

RE: Mercedes retrofit blind spot assist
Hi, I did removal of blind assist for W212 2014, there need coding in the instruments and cgw. Instruments done with Xentry author data and cgw with vediamo (totwinkel nicht active). After that blind assist disappear. But as much I remember, radar sensors was connected to the other module, rear sam or instruments, xentry not show separate module for radars.

RE: Mercedes retrofit blind spot assist
The EIS part was actually in the CGW, for me:
VCD_02_global_variant_coding There, I am able to enable/disable all sorts of options, including blind spot assist |
