Hi everyone,


I had to fix a SMART 450 that it's SAM unit burnt.
I bought a second hand and need to change the VIN number in order to match with the car.

I read the MC9S12DG256 as secured with XProg M and see that the VIN stored at EEPROM in two addresses so i change it in both of them and rewrite it.
When i power on the car it is start normal but on instrument cluster i get ------- instead of numbers.
i read again the MC9S12DG256 and the VIN is the one of the car.
I connect the Star Diagnosis and at VIN i get : yyyyyyyyyyy .
Can someone please tell me what is the Checksum and how i check it?

You must to put km to zero in dump and do initial startup with DAS

At which addresses the kilometer are stored and what value i have to put for zero?
Can you please help me what i have to do with DAS?
