Hello there, i have a question to the pro's here, which are working with trucks also. I have a good Kess and KTAG clone from a big member here on CT. The tools were working like a charm till now. Without any problems. But now I have to do a EDC17CV42 from a MAN truck. I use Ksuite 2.23 for my clone KTAG, there i can not found right Truck in Truck area, so i searched directly in main menu, Protocols, then i clicked on the left BOOTLOADER TRICORE. After that i found something interesting, BOSCH EDC17 TRUCK (protocol 614). I opened it and had the choice Plug-in 614: EDC17 CV41 IROM TC1791 or Plug-in 615: EDC17 CV42 IROM TC1797. So my question is, will this protocol (plug-in 615)  work with my Trucks ECU (MAN EDC17CV42)? Anyone tested it already? And where is the difference to the right protocol? :

BOSCH EDC17CV42 IROM TC1797 MAN TRUCK TSM

This protocol is only in newer Ksuite versions, for clone users useless. I hope anybody can give feedback and helps me. Thank you so much and greetings

will depend on the internal tprot, never the less if you choose the wrong one ksuite will try and suggest you choose the other if its a match

as for if your tools will do,they should

I am only unsure, why there are 2 different protocols, the 615 one in clone ksuite 2.23. In Original new ksuite (i didnt have it, read only on net) became an other protocol, only for this ecu in MAN. So now i dont know where is the difference in boths protocols

If someone has ori KTAG, it would be very helpfull for me if somebody can Share the connections instruction for this Protocol: BOSCH EDC17CV42 IROM TC1797 MAN TRUCK TSM

It is a little bit strange. I know 100% that it is CV42 in MAN, but in Ksuite the CV41 looks more similar to mine, than the CV42 on the photo in Ksuite. There it has only 2 connectors, mine from MAN has 3 connector. The CV41 from Ksuite looks very similar, but this one has 4 connectors

When trying to read Truck ECU in KTAG, I need also 24V Power supply to KTAG or 12V enough? Somewhere i read that for bench work on Truck ECUs need to use 12V, not 24V. Thats right ?
