Hi, I have a problem with a remap file that I have purchased, the car is a 2003 e60 530d with manual gearbox. After loading the file onto the ecu using an mpps clone the cooling fan is on permanently and when scanning the car for faults using inpa, the car comes up as an automatic with 3 different automatic gearbox faults? Would the problem be the remap file or me using cloned hardware/software? Any help would be gratefully received.

I must add that the car drives ok other than being a bit juddery at low revs.

Hi DK052,

Sounds like the wrong file for your car, I would put back to standard and get the original file tuned rather than using a generic file.

I have the original file but I'm reluctant to put it on using mpps incase it was this that caused the problem in the first place, when I try to use the fg tech v52, it says error_data2. Is it possible to use the harness that comes with the fgtech to connect to the outside ecu pins?

I used a Galletto V54 to do a 2004 BMW 530D via OBD. I havent used the MPPS on the E60 but I still think its your best option to put the standard file back on using the same tool that you read it with.
