HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
I need help resolving encoding fault am having on my car (F15 hybrid). It all started after trying to update the car with ISTA+ 4.15.16, part of the fault was CP active and makes the DME to request for a reduced output from EME. I was ale to get the CP resolved but ISTA+ still having issues encoding HU_H. Does it have to do with ISTA+ version or there is something wrong with my connection (using original ICOM NEXT). Need help on this please.
Thank you |

RE: HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
I had the same problem when coding my F10, ICOM NEXT original could not code COMBI and HU_H.
I codified with ICOM 2 and router, and everything was perfect. |

RE: HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
its Because you need to connect to icom via router. Not directly to laptop.

RE: HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
ICOM Next is set by default to get IP address from DHCP server (router). If you changed to static - you need to change it back. Idea is that it works like a switch so car gets IP address from router too. Then it works. In principle you don't specifically need a router, but you need DHCP server. Router is just the simplest option for most users.

(20-04-2019, 16:01 PM)fatfash Wrote: okay. Yes. You only need to change connection in ICOM settings - to get IP using DHCP. Also see if your LAN card in laptop is also set to DHCP mode, if not change it. Thanks

RE: HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
how do I connect to ICOM NEXT to view its webGUI to change/confirm its on DHCP. Going by what @Node just mentioned that ICOM is set at DHCP by default

RE: HU_H encoding fault on ISTA+
You need router between icom an d laptop anyway. If your icom has an up that starts with 169.254 it won’t work.
