Actuator frequency for Line Departure Warning
Hello friends,

As per procedures in TIS (https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f15-x...r/J7tMjS0E) and ISTA+, on the vibration motor (actuator) inside the steering wheel there should be 2 frequency values on a label, frequencies that can be coded using ISTA+.
While I can find those written on the standard and sport steering wheel for the Fxx series (it looks like xx,yy on the label), there is no way to tell which is the frequency for the M Sport steering wheel.

Please see attached photos. Can someone point out which are the frequencies?

Thanks in advance.

I am interested in the answer for this also as I will be retrofitting this soon. Did you have any luck with the answer?

I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

Nothing yet.
The vibration function is working anyway, I just wanted to be very thorough in doing the complete procedure.

RE: Actuator frequency for Line Departure Warning
Thats good to know, I will retrofit and hopefully it will be ok. Maybe its a read across from the older actuators that is no longer required?

I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: Actuator frequency for Line Departure Warning
Ista describes the same procedure for M and Sport steering wheels, with specific photos for same.
Those frequencies are clearly marked on the sport steering wheel vibration motor, so the procedure applies. I cannot find the samearkings on the M version..

RE: Actuator frequency for Line Departure Warning
I have seen the same procedure and was also looking for the frequency on my vibration unit and they are not there either. I wonder if there is a method of finding the frequency of the actuator somehow?

I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.
