My friend’s i8 got crashed the front bumper, no airbag deployed in that accident. After few months repair works, it’s almost complete. But the car cannot run and I’ve check it with ISTA. The following are the fault list:

   

In the case will the switch contactor trigged by crash signal and need to tested by EoS tester to get the result code and unlock by ISTA?

i already repaired a full destroyed BMW i8. after replace the acsm ecu because of crash data (internal ecu error) i program the full car to the lastest i-step. after that i follow the test plan in ISTA and we sell the car without any errors to a new custome

we must replace many parts to get a car without faults. the test plan in ISTA will help you, to find broken parts.

Exactly, just run test plans. Something wrong with HV system

It’s lucky that the damage stopped in front of the Electric motor, not too much parts had to replaced. And yes the i-step has been full updated to latest. For ecu, only DSC has been replaced. I’ve tried to run the test plan, those actions are asked to check the HV wiring, but the wiring / connector should be fine. We are out of ideas.

no we dont need them, because the engine was not broken. we must only replaced the automatic gearbox.
