There is no special with it , Sync 2 use factory update and reinstall with correct language pack plus for scan as build eu settings , on sync 3 only for scan settings and remove some languages from factory update to fix err03 (i thing - low memory and then map update - nothing else

Hi Menib,

Could you please explain this in further detail? I have a Ford Escape/Kuga with SYNC 3 from US which I need programmed to EU. I have ForScan: I tried changing language bits (which worked) but now the systems keeps telling there is an update going on via USB.. So I reverted back to stock.
I will install the latest firmware from Ford but what is needed after?

7D0-01-01 xxx xxx *xxx to 3 on sync 2 or 3 the same
7D0-02-01 504C xxxx xxxx for EU country

in Sync 3 disable automatic update before change , navi in US version need to remove some languages to fit in sync memory

Thank you for your answer. It is a SYNC 3 so I will try above procedures.
And how do I remove languages, is that from firmware or map data?

I am still trying to get EU maps on a US SYNC 3. How do I remove some of the languages to create enough space on the internal memory?
