Hi. I want to ask how to calculate mileages to edit 35160 DUMP from my 6WA Kombi for BMW F20.
Want to retrofit 6wa but need to change mileage.

You changed the first two lines only.
Can I use this two lines for my friends 6wa cluster too or do you have to recalcultae every time ?

Yes you can use just the first two lines in any file.

After writing eeprom Kombi show 131088 km .
I reread 35160wt chip and now all I read is FF .
I canot read and write chip anymore . Something went wrog.
I want to programm a new chip of: https://www.auto-chips.com/35160wt_p1901.html and solder to kombi.
Do you know if replacing the chip with this one will work ?

Algorithm is hex to decimal X 16, so my calculation should be right. Hex 0001 to decimal = 1 X 16 = 16.

Your file was 14 e6 (mostly) to decimal = 5350 X 16 = 85600.

No idea what went wrong.

Wich Programmer did you used?!
The first two lines are FF or the whole EEP?

a new 35160WT will not work. because 35160WT got an Chip ID, and this ID is written to MCU from Dashboard... there is no way to re mariage a new EEP with MCU.

For your Information

35160WT is not eraseable, so you cant scale down the mileage only up!!!
Actually there is no device that can handle this eeprom to 100%... One known way to edit mileage is to use an emulator.

you did erase the chip first or just try to write over old data ?

as said these chips you will struggle to erase without right equipment.
