yes, it can be done. we've done few online.

So far, I have managed to do Vediamo coding to the HU and Front SAM, and also do Xentry diagnostics, all with VAS5054A.

I'm really interested what could've went wrong!

for vs5054a you need to use vediamo 4.02.xx so should work fine. vediamo 5 DO NOT have settings for passthru.
if not vediamo - online then via mb servers, but then login and "safety" patches are required.
I don't have a clue, but let me play more clever biggrin

I have done programming with Xentry Passthru and the GM MDI2(wireless connection) on all kinds of modules and have never had a dead ecu. I have done ECM's, TCM's, Seatbelts, LED headlights and so on..... Not all passthru devices can do programming. Some people try to do programming with a $20 passthru cable and this is why it doesn't work!
