  Steering lock has seized in the off position luckily this prevents the BCM from allowing it to crank. New one needs programming to the vehicle does anyone know of a cheap way to programme a new steering lock module in to car. Really don't fancy towing it to the dealer and paying their over inflated prices. Thanks in advance for your help

steering lock coding and the remote locking codes are in the 2nd mc9s12 chip. You will need to read the dump and find it in there.

The 1st mc9s12 chip has the transponder codes in it

best thing to do is to put an Volvo SCL emulator. i buy them from http://cartools.lv/ 60 dollars + shipment. easy to install no comebacks.

tried other solutions for me it works the best.

Thanks for your help. Sorry for the lack of knowledge how does the Volvo SCL emulator work? Is it much of a job to install? Never new it existed if I am honest
